Spring Equinox - Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

Today at 3:29 am PM (PDT) the Sun entered Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, ushering in the Astrological New Year. This is a pivotal moment in the journey we’ve been travelling for a few weeks.

In the Northern Hemisphere this moment is known as the vernal equinox. In the Southern Hemisphere, this is the moment of the autumnal equinox.

Equinox means "equal night" because the sun is positioned above the equator. Day and night are about equal in length all over the world during the equinoxes.

The vernal equinox has been recognized and celebrated around the world for thousands of years. There is no shortage of rituals and traditions recognizing the beginning of spring.

Our ancestors would celebrate the end of the long night of winter knowing that soon they would replenish their food supplies.

Christianity established Easter as the first Sunday after the first full moon after the vernal equinox for the rebirth of Jesus.

The early Egyptians built the Great Sphinx so that it points directly toward the rising Sun on the day of the vernal equinox.

The Mayans built the pyramid at Chitzen Itza so on the equinox the late afternoon sun's rays create the illusion of a snake creeping slowly down the northern staircase

This is a time of magic, a time of great ceremony, a time of great meaning.

The force of the new beginnings is more powerful this year than usual. We still carry the energy of the February 26 New Moon Solar Eclipse in Pisces This energy carries through August.

The Pisces New Moon brought soft, healing energy. New Moons are about New Beginnings versus Old Emotions (Full Moon). This New Moon brought out the sensitive, spiritual side of Pisces.

It was a culmination of the cycle begun by the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo on February 10. The gift it brought is to become clear about your role and service in the world.

The journey continued through the March 12 Full Moon in Virgo.

At this time the sensitive, spiritual, compassionate, visionary energy of the Pisces Sun was reflected by the Full Moon in Virgo which said don’t focus on the dream, focus on what can be done, focus on what is useful.

This Full Moon in Virgo narrowed your focus. In order to make your dreams come true, (Sun in Pisces), we need to reflect upon the specific details of what we want to accomplish (Full Moon in Virgo).

As these energies continue through the Equinox we will come to the March 27th New Moon in Aries

The planet of intellect and communication, Mercury, is in Aries; the New Beginnings is in Aries; and the coming New Moon will be in Aries.

We’re more open to taking risks and biting off the big chunks. We’re tired of all the planning and constructing. We want heat, warmth, movement, and action.

You will feel smart, assured, safe, and confident in your plans bearing fruit, so you're more likely to bring about something new and thing exciting.

DO NOT make LEAPS. Aries will want to push for that, just use this energy to keep walking forward.

Take the steps for your planned goals. Allow your unplanned goals to grow before taking action.

You do get to make your mark, the Universe is supporting you.

You are moving into the moment of true identification of self that is demanded by this Year of Individuation.

By the end of April you will know who you truly are, whether you like it or not, but it will be you.

So become a partner in the revelation to strengthen the parts of you that you want be stronger and choose how to shift the parts that you want to improve.

Be a partner in your growth, not a passive observer.
